Paws & Nose Care

Attentive care for a pet’s paws and nose is crucial for their overall health and comfort, yet these areas are often overlooked. Paws, being the primary point of contact with the environment, require regular inspection and care to prevent infections, cuts, and cracks, while maintaining soft pads with protective balms, especially in harsh weather conditions. At Paws Required, we emphasize the significance of these areas by offering specialized services, ensuring your pet’s paws and nose are well-protected and cared for, thereby laying a foundation for a happy, healthy life.

Grooming is Vital

Regular grooming is vital for a dog’s health, not just its appearance. It helps prevent skin issues and infections by keeping the coat mat-free and the skin clean. Grooming also allows for early detection of potential health problems, ensuring your dog remains comfortable and healthy. Essentially, it’s an integral part of a dog’s overall care, enhancing both their physical well-being and the bond they share with their owner.

Our Shitzu, Sailor, has very thick hair and was really uncomfortable with the Florida heat! Paws Required responded to our phone call quickly and managed to fit us in for a Saturday appointment! There was no waiting for an appointment in this nice and tidy shop! We wandered around downtown Fort Pierce for 2 hours- a delight on a Saturday morning! Then, returned for our beautifully groomed dog 2 hours later! This is the BEST close grooming he’s ever had! We will be returning!

I am only a snowbird here for 3 months so I was nervous about taking my two golden doodles in today to a new groomer. Alas, I can not be more pleased with the service and the results. Best cut they have had in five years. Will come back for a touch up before I head north.”

I was a walk-in looking to get 2 of my dog’s nails clipped. Catherine was amazing. Both of my dogs were taken care of within 15 minutes. The prices were VERY reasonable. I will definitely be coming back as a regular.

Why Is it Important to Treat Your Pets to Regular Nail Care Treatments?

Failing to have the nails of your pet clipped and maintained correctly could prove extremely costly for your home. Wooden floors, freshly painted walls or wooden chair and table legs could all become a playground for a cat, dog or even rabbit with excessively long nails. So, to ensure the upkeep of your home, you need to treat your pet to regular nail care treatments from us.

That being said, as bad as long nails are for your home, they are a lot worse for your pet. Failing to cut, your pet’s nails can result in injuries ranging from torn nails to arthritis. This is particularly true for dogs’ nails as they are curved, so if they grow too long they can dig into their paw pads and cause extreme pain. To avoid inflicting this level of pain on your pet, make sure that their nails are treated regularly.
